Hats off to heritage! sOMBRÈro is a celebration of the many traditional headpieces that crown our culture across the Philippines. From the regal Kango to the sturdy Salakot, the playful Solang-Solang, and the feathered grace of the Slaung, each one tells a story of place, people, and pride.
This design is our little parade of headwear – not just as protection from the sun or the rain, but as symbols of identity, artistry, and joy. May sOMBRÈro remind us that while each community wears its own crown, together they form a rich tapestry that makes our heritage truly one of a kind.

Material & Craftsmanship
This JIM Weaver scarf is 43×43 cm big, making it a good size for a pocket square to fill every suit pocket. It is also big enough to double up as a neck or kerchief scarf for ladies. Smooth and lustrous, this JIM Weaver scarf is made of 100% natural silk twill. Hems are hand-rolled, so no two scarves are alike. Natural silk can last a lifetime with proper care. We recommend dry-cleaning only for best results.
Packaging
Every JIM Weaver pocket square is packed individually in a thick envelope after being carefully wrapped with Japanese paper. It will be accompanied by a card insert describing the design inspiration and care instructions. A free notecard will be included as well for you to write notes to your loved ones in case it will be given as a gift.

Isabelle Ocier
A visual storyteller at heart, Isabelle is a Filipino artist and graphic designer who combines her love for travel, books, and whimsy with her penchant for mixing her favored art mediums—acrylic, watercolor, digital styling, and modern calligraphy—into single frames. As the Creative Director at JIM Weaver, she enjoys sneaking quirky easter eggs into her mostly grown-up designs.

₱ 3,850.00This design was our first foray into Filipino culture and tradition. Its main subject is a “diwata,” known in Philippine mythology as a goddess or spirit guardian of a region. She is inspired by Maria Makiling, one of the most popular Filipino diwatas and the protector of Mount Makiling in the Laguna province. Surrounded by Philippine botanicals, she is believed to protect the bounty of the land. The soft peaks and valleys of the mountain is said to be seen in the gentle slope of her sleeping form.
