Design Inspiration
Lions are top predators in their environment. It means they play a crucial role in keeping a healthy balance of numbers among other animals. Powerful and majestic, the king of the beasts has no natural predators. But unthinkably, African lion numbers have plummeted by over 40% in the last three generations, due to loss of living space and conflict with people. By protecting a lion’s landscape, we’re helping the whole area to thrive, which doesn’t just benefit wildlife but the people who rely on local natural resources too.

Material & Craftsmanship
This JIM Weaver scarf is 43×43 cm big, making it a good size for a pocket square to fill every suit pocket. It is also big enough to double up as a neck or kerchief scarf for ladies. Smooth and lustrous, this JIM Weaver scarf is made of 100% natural silk twill. Hems are hand-rolled, so no two scarves are alike. Natural silk can last a lifetime with proper care. We recommend dry-cleaning only for best results.
Packaging
Every JIM Weaver pocket square is packed individually in a thick envelope after being carefully wrapped with Japanese paper. It will be accompanied by a card insert describing the design inspiration and care instructions. A free notecard will be included as well for you to write notes to your loved ones in case it will be given as a gift.

Isabelle Ocier
A visual storyteller at heart, Isabelle is a Filipino artist and graphic designer who combines her love for travel, books, and whimsy with her penchant for mixing her favored art mediums—acrylic, watercolor, digital styling, and modern calligraphy—into single frames. As the Creative Director at JIM Weaver, she enjoys sneaking quirky easter eggs into her mostly grown-up designs.

Inspired by the local folk song that portrays the simple life in the countryside, the bahay kubo is surrounded by various local herbs and vegetables, as illustrated on the scarf.
This design brings together the artist’s cultural heritage of being Chinese Filipino, with the verse written in beautiful calligraphy using the chinoiserie blue and white motif.
