A fiesta with no lechon is no fiesta at all. Often the centerpiece of the buffet spread in Filipino gatherings, the lechon draws the most ‘oooohs’ and ‘aaaahs’ from dinner guests waiting to dig in. Cut me some of the decadent crispy skin, please!

Design Inspiration

Pawikan or sea turtles are a fundamental link in marine ecosystems. They help maintain the health of seagrass beds and coral reefs that benefit commercially valuable species. They face multiple threats caused by humans, such as bycatch in commercial fishing gear, illegal trade, consumption, and climate change. 5 to 7 species of sea turtles can be found in Philippine seas. And because of their long lifespans and slow movements, sea turtles symbolize long life, patience, wisdom, endurance and even good luck.
